Running on Empty
(words and music Mickey Wynne)
Oh Lord help my broken heart, mend my wounded wings
With your Love , I’ll come alive and do so many things
And do so many things
Oh Lord help my suffering soul, a lamb before the wolf
Nourish me, I am the seed, just lead me through that gulf
Oh pray draw nigh that gulf
At the crossroads on my knees
Cryin ‘bout the past
Got to thinking as I sink
How long’s this gonna last
How long this gonna last
The credit man hes at the door
Im on my last ditch shoes
Runnin on empty, Ill carry on
It’s the best that I can do
The best that I can do
You know the crowds they roar they cheer me on
Like waves they ebb and flow
Full moon, new moon move the tides
That’s all I need to know
That’s all I need to know
Oh Lord help my suffering soul, a lamb before the wolf
Nourish me, I am the seed, just lead me through that gulf
Oh pray draw nigh that gulf
Oh Lord help my broken heart, mend my wounded wings
With your Love , I’ll come alive and do so many things
And do so many things
Oh Lord help my suffering soul, a lamb before the wolf
Nourish me, I am the seed, just lead me through that gulf
Oh pray draw nigh that gulf
Oh Lord help my broken heart, mend my wounded wings
With your Love , I’ll come alive and do so many things

Against All Odds (I’ll Do It)
Words and Music: Mickey Wynne
Many’s the time have I waited long
Many’s the time have I cried
Many’s the time have I spent alone
Many’s the time have I died.
Now it’s time for my surrender
Of all my guiltiness and pride
Now I’ve lost all my possessions
Now Ive nothing left to hide
Against all odds, I’ll do it
Whatever the past, I’m through it
Down through all of those rainy days and those darkest nights
Brings me closer to you
Now it’s time to stop my searching
Now I’ve found a thing that’s true
I will risk my name’s besmirching
But it’s worth it for you
Against all odds, I’ll do it etc.
I found myself outside in the cold
Nowhere to run nowhere to go
Then you through me a line, I was sinking fast
You pulled me up, now I want you to know
Against all odds, I’ll do it etc.

French Blooze
(Words and Music by Patrick Bergin and Mickey Wynne)
I’m tired of lovin you, I know you’re tired of me
And still your perfume haunts me,
Lets go down South, Paris is broken too
Ive always loved Bierritz
Maybe we can start again
Nano-technology, quantum medicine
Means nothing to me
‘Cos Ive been in and out of every door
And sometimes Im just spinnin round
The only thing that matters is your touch..
Another fallen angel
Faxed Jesuit priest
Is that what you see in me?
In me?
I think that’s sweet
All I can see in you
You head your eyes your feet
You head your eyes your feet
That’s all I can see in you
I think that’s sweet
Your black hole
And I just cant escape
Your black hole
And I just cant escape
You’re in front
And I cant even wait
In front
And waiting is my fate
(Take it away on that guitar)
Maybe we can even start again
I’m tired of lovin you
I know you’re tired of me
And still your perfume haunts me,
Lets go down South
Paris is broken too
Ive always loved Bierritz
Maybe we can start again

All Quiet on the Eastern Frontier
(w&m Mickey Wynne)
Theres a little village not an hours drive from this city
Here lives a man who
became a local hero in the town
Just a while ago he saw eleven guys getting down to the nitty gritty
He got a gun and he killed those men dead, shot em down.
A little farther up the road you find a castle where a man plays the chung,
He got his own private army for protection hes the leader of a big tribe,
Confidentiality out here means you cut the guard’s tongue,
That way they get the honour and they never get a chance to talk about a bribe.
The Jungles have the beast, and the rivers keep running to the sea,
If you see a human life come and go you never bat an eye.
Cos' the people got to make a living any way they can, it’s a natural thing to survive
All quiet on the Eastern Frontier
All quiet on the eastern Frontier
Not a soul believes in anything else out here
All quiet on the Eastern Frontier,
All quiet, All quiet.
At the edge of the desert there’s a forest lookin’ innocent outside,
But go within and there’s the highwaymen, knights of the road living there
In their homes they cohabit with the kidnap victims caught on a ride,
What they get from the ransom is enough to cover all the taxi fare
Back in the big city cars trucks and qudagharis are a jammin on the road
At the lights where the traffic slows you find the beggars with their outstretched hand
Any driver with a conscience would hand over cash just to ease their load
But chain they’re at the bottom of the driver, if he knew, wouldn’t readily finance,
The jungles have the beasts etc.
A farmer’s lookin at the sky and wonder if the harvest’s gonna be a good one,
That little poppy there growin in the field’s worth a lotta dollars
Loyalty out here means you give the kids enough to get the hooks in,
You find the right man you make enough to keep your family livin' for a long time
But you know that anyway, because they told you anyway, because they bought you anyway
The jungles have the beasts etc.
